About the Role
We are recruiting a Supported Employment Team Leader (SEQF) to lead the Connect to Work programme, a five-year national initiative funded by the Department for Work and Pensions. This role involves delivering high-quality, personalised employment support for Lambeth residents with severe mental illness, disabilities, and long-term health conditions, using the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

As Team Leader, you will manage a team of four IPS Employment Specialists, embedding IPS principles such as rapid job search, personalised support, and close integration with clinical services. You will oversee supervision, fidelity monitoring, employer engagement, data compliance, and resident-centred outcomes. The role requires close partnership working with NHS primary and secondary care services, adult social care, and community organisations to ensure effective service delivery.

Lambeth is a vibrant and diverse borough in South London, home to over 317,600 residents and known for its rich cultural heritage and community spirit. Joining Lambeth Council means contributing to the ambitious Lambeth 2030 Plan and being part of the transformational One Lambeth Programme, which is driven by values of Equity, Ambition, Kindness, and Accountability.

- Experience managing frontline teams including caseload management, reflective supervision, and performance development
- Confidence engaging employers to create inclusive job opportunities and supporting job carving and retention
- Data-driven approach to service improvement, compliance, and fidelity monitoring

About you
- Strong understanding and empathy of barriers faced by disabled residents and those with long-term health conditions, with effective strategies to support them into work
- Collaborative leadership style aligned with Lambeth’s values of Equity, Kindness, Accountability, and Ambition
