Location
Initially based at Sussex Place office in Hammersmith, London. The role will later relocate to another London location. Regular travel to sites in Barnet and East London is required.

About the Role
As a Supported Housing Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping residents feel safe, supported, and connected within their communities. Working closely with Supported Housing Officers, you will provide practical day-to-day support to residents to help them sustain their tenancies, access services, and maintain their wellbeing. You will be a visible presence within the scheme, building positive relationships with residents, their families, support providers, and partner agencies. Your responsibilities will include conducting welfare checks, tenancy support, safeguarding awareness, and community engagement to create a welcoming environment where residents can live well and thrive.

Key duties include welcoming new residents and helping them settle in, carrying out regular wellbeing, welfare, and health and safety checks, identifying support needs and signposting to appropriate services, supporting tenancy sustainment, collaborating with care providers and partner agencies, responding to complaints, anti-social behaviour and safeguarding concerns, reporting repairs, monitoring contractor performance, maintaining communal areas, and supporting resident engagement activities and community events.

Experience
Experience delivering a customer-focused service to people with support needs in social housing, social care, or a similar environment.

About you
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, approachable, and professional manner. Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain confidentiality. Ability to apply relevant legislation, policy, and best practice. Numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2.

Qualifications
Pending legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification. A social care or similar qualification relevant to the customer group is desirable but not essential.
