One in two of us will be affected by dementia in our lifetime - either by caring for someone with the condition, developing it ourselves, or both. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is there for the whole family. Our specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, expert advice, support and understanding to help families care for their loved one. Every day, Admiral Nurses help families up and down the country to have the best life possible for as long as possible. About the role: The Supporter Care team are responsible for providing the highest level of customer care to all those who interact and support Dementia UK. As the Supporter Care Officer, you will help maintain and drive fundraising growth across a number of income streams. You will be responsible for welcoming, assisting and responding to enquiries from existing supporters and new donors as well as thanking our supporters, adapting and personalising templates delivering high quality thank you letters. You will play a part in supporting all teams across fundraising and assist the Supporter Care Manager in identifying processes that could be improved and maintaining our database to ensure our income is being captured correctly. The successful candidate will have proven experience of delivering a high standard of customer service over the telephone with the ability to deal with enquiries in a diplomatic and sensitive manner. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a small team building relationships with both colleagues and supporters.
