We are recruiting qualified, enthusiastic, and reliable swimming instructors on a permanent and casual basis to teach children and adults of various abilities. You will be part of a small, friendly team of instructors with vacancies at both leisure centres. The role involves delivering swimming lessons, engaging with members of the public, and promoting water safety. A Disclosure and Barring Service check is required as the role involves working with children and vulnerable clients. Broxbourne Council values teamwork, innovation, effectiveness, and respect (TIER) and is committed to excellent customer care and safeguarding.

The Council offers a generous leave entitlement, a full training and development programme, membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, and free membership to local leisure centres. This includes free access to gyms, swimming pools, fitness classes, racket sports sessions, a health suite, and discounts across other leisure and cultural services.

Previous teaching experience is an advantage but not essential.
About you
Qualified, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to converse fluently in English with members of the public. You should share the Council’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Qualifications
