Broadford Primary School Faringdon Avenue Harold Hill RM3 8JS Tel: 01708 342880 Headteacher: Mrs L Nicholls Teaching Assistant to support complex SEND Hours: 30 hours per week. 08:30 - 15:00 [30 minute unpaid lunch] - Monday to Friday Weeks Per Year: Working 38 weeks per year (not including inset days). Paid for 43.7 weeks per year (inclusive of 5.7 weeks paid annual leave) Salary: Grade 1/2 spinal point 2-5. Pro Rata salary of £18,056 - £18,878 per annum (FTE £25,854 - £27,030 p.a.) We are inviting applications for the role of Teaching Assistant to support individual pupils with complex special educational and medical needs. Your role would be to enhance the pupil's learning and life skills in a way which is individualised to their specific needs. The successful applicant(s) will have good communication skills, be calm and patient, have a good sense of humour and be a team player with an extremely flexible attitude. You will ideally have prior experience of working with pupils who have Autism, ADHD, Physical disabilities and/or pupils with medical needs. Due to the nature of the role, you may deal with a variety of conditions, so being able to adapt your supporting methods is essential. As an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant, you will have worked with SEND pupils in a classroom environment and have a good level of education. You will need to be physically fit and able to work outdoors and manage personal care for younger children if required. An ability to motivate and engage children is essential.
