About the Role
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. As a Technical Account Manager, you will be a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. You will have a direct impact in helping customers gain the most value from cloud technology by crafting and executing strategies to drive adoption and use of AWS services. Your role includes providing advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and proactively keeping customers' AWS environments operationally healthy.
You will develop close relationships with customers to understand their business and technical challenges, helping them achieve the greatest value from AWS. You will advise on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning, as well as ongoing operational issues. This role offers opportunities to develop your technical, consulting, and leadership skills while working with talented cloud technologists and expanding your knowledge of AWS products. You will also have access to mentorship and AWS certification opportunities.
Key responsibilities include building solutions, providing technical guidance, advocating for customers, ensuring operational health of AWS environments while reducing cost and complexity, developing trusting customer relationships, driving technical discussions on incidents and risk management, consulting with partners from developers to C-suite executives, collaborating with AWS teams, proactively identifying opportunities for customers, solving diverse problems during cloud migration, and uplifting customer capabilities through workshops and enablement sessions.

Experience
- Technical engineering experience
- Operational parameters and troubleshooting experience in at least three of the following: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, applications development in a distributed systems environment

Qualifications
