At AWS Enterprise Support, we are looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to support our customers' creative and transformative spirit of innovation across all technologies, including Compute, Storage, Database, Data Analytics, Application-level services, Networking, Serverless and more. This is not a sales role, but an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and 'voice of the customer' to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
As a Senior TAM, you will craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT and many others. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer's environment and lead discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
You will provide advocacy and strategic technical direction to help plan and build solutions using standard methodologies, while keeping your customers' AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships you develop will empower you to understand their business and operational needs as well as technical challenges, helping them achieve the greatest value from AWS.
We seek individuals with strong backgrounds in IT operations and related areas such as Linux/Windows systems administration, DevOps, and Data Analytics. The TAM role is central to delivering value to our Enterprise Support customers, so if you want to be at the forefront of innovation, join us!
Experience
- Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting in at least three of the following areas: compute, storage, networking, CDN, databases, DevOps, big data and analytics, security, applications development in a distributed systems environment
- Experience in technical engineering

- Proactive and action-oriented mindset to identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
- Comfortable consulting with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives
- Collaborative team player who works effectively with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings is preferred
- Experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead is preferred
