We are seeking a skilled Technical Operations & IT Specialist to ensure the stability, performance, and security of our technology infrastructure, with a particular focus on supporting our engineering team. This role bridges operations and engineering to streamline workflows, automate processes, and create a robust technical environment that enhances productivity across the company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing and supporting a diverse corporate IT environment spanning Windows, Linux, and Apple devices
- Collaborating closely with the engineering team to deliver a reliable and low-friction development environment
- Deploying and maintaining scalable, secure network infrastructure
- Following cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices
- Assisting in meeting UK government accreditations for IT systems and networks
- Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Automating repetitive tasks to improve business efficiency
- Taking ownership of day-to-day IT operations and ensuring the function is well managed
- Participating in on-call rotation for critical system issues as needed
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT operations, including supporting multidisciplinary development teams
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and its administrative tools
- Practical experience with major Identity Providers and configuring SSO, SAML, and related technologies
- Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Experience designing and implementing secure network infrastructure using next generation firewalls and VPNs
- Strong proficiency managing and supporting Windows, Apple, and/or Linux systems in a corporate environment
- Sound understanding of software development lifecycles and modern development practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams
About you
You are motivated by Arondite’s mission and excited to work in a collaborative, engineering-driven culture. You are comfortable working primarily from the office in London, with occasional remote work and travel to customer sites as needed. You are adaptable, proactive, and take ownership of your responsibilities. You understand the importance of security and compliance in a defence-related environment and are willing to undergo UK security vetting if required.
Qualifications
- Right to Work in the UK is required at the time of application
- Willingness to undergo UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above, typically requiring continuous UK residency for at least 5 years
Desirable (not mandatory):
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+
- Network certifications such as CCNA, Network+
- Familiarity with industry standards including ISO 27001, CyberEssentials, Defence Cyber Certification
- Experience with Zero Trust Network Access and related technologies
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
