About the Role
Join Man Group’s Technology Graduate Programme as an Associate Platform Engineer and become part of a global, technology-driven active investment management firm. The programme begins with a 3-month bootcamp focused on software development, followed by rotations across three Platform Engineering teams over two years, including Python Platform, Infrastructure (Linux, Windows, Networks, Storage, Databases, Infosec), End-User, and Architecture and Operations. You will work on impactful projects, receive formal training, and benefit from mentorship by senior leaders while gaining a deep understanding of the business.

Platform Engineering powers Man Group’s technology infrastructure, supporting investment teams with scalable tools and secure, automated processes. You will manage large internal data centres with tens of thousands of cores and hundreds of terabytes of memory, build and maintain infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud, write software to automate infrastructure, and operate global network interconnects. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment and contribute to the platform that powers Man Group’s hedge funds.

Experience
- Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages such as C#, Java, Python, Powershell, or C++
- Technical experience may come from open source maintenance, 2+ years relevant industry experience, or academic study in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related disciplines
- Understanding of source control and continuous deployment workflows using tools like git
- Experience administering operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or MacOS and familiarity with cloud technologies

Qualifications
