About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives through safe, high-quality housing? We are looking for an Occupancy and Compliance Officer to join our Temporary Accommodation team. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for inspecting temporary accommodation properties, ensuring compliance with housing and safety standards, monitoring repairs and maintenance, and supporting residents to live in safe and suitable homes. You will work closely with landlords, managing agents, housing colleagues, and partner agencies to maintain excellent accommodation standards while addressing tenancy issues, safeguarding concerns, and occupancy compliance.
About the Team
You will join a dedicated and supportive Housing Demand – Temporary Accommodation service within Adult Housing and Health. The team works collaboratively with Rehousing and Lettings, Adult Social Care, Private Sector Licensing, Anti-Social Behaviour services, landlords, managing agents, and other key stakeholders to provide effective housing solutions for residents in need. Experience
Proven experience working in housing, homelessness, tenancy management, or a related field is essential. Experience with housing legislation, property compliance, and safeguarding responsibilities is required.
About You
You are a proactive and customer-focused professional with the ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable residents and partner organisations. You are organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing inspections, investigating occupancy concerns, monitoring compliance documentation, and producing accurate reports. You have excellent communication skills and can work independently in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to high service standards is essential.
