About the Role
Amazon MGM Studios is seeking an experienced Theatrical Public Relations Manager to lead our theatrical slate across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive publicity strategies for all theatrical releases across EMEA territories, while also crafting corporate storytelling around Amazon MGM Studios' theatrical expansion in the region. As the senior PR strategist for the EMEA marketplace, you will work closely with international teams, lead agency relationships, and manage all aspects of theatrical PR campaigns across multiple territories.
You will own end-to-end regional PR campaign accountability for theatrical releases, ensuring alignment with global strategy while tailoring approaches to local market dynamics. Partnering with global leadership, you will develop and localize strategic PR plans from greenlight through release. You will serve as the primary EMEA point of contact for regional PR teams, translating global priorities into actionable regional strategies and communicating local market insights to global decision-making teams.
Key responsibilities include driving title-specific and franchise-level PR strategies across the full Amazon MGM Studios theatrical portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships with local territory PR teams across UKFIGS (UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain) and additional EMEA markets, and fostering cross-territory collaboration through regular forums, toolkits, and best-practice frameworks. You will represent local campaign needs such as editorial assets, content, talent access, and promotional opportunities to PR leaders, lead the expansion of global PR initiatives to drive box-office growth, and ensure all territories are aligned on strategy and resourced appropriately.
Additional duties include providing strategic counsel on cultural nuances and market-specific opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify tentpole PR moments, overseeing PR events, press tours, international junkets, set visits, stunts, and leading regional festival strategy. You will also own and manage the EMEA publicity budget ensuring fiscal discipline and maximum ROI, provide campaign updates to senior leadership, champion a culture of innovation by sourcing and piloting new technology, and mentor team members and agencies across the region.
Experience
- Professional communications or public relations experience
- Proven track record developing and executing campaigns across multiple timezones and languages
- Extensive entertainment publicity experience with a significant focus on international/EMEA theatrical campaigns
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-market publicity strategies
- Strong relationships with entertainment media, talent representatives, critics, festival programmers, and industry stakeholders across multiple EMEA markets
- Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership

- Deep knowledge of the European, Middle Eastern, and African entertainment and media landscape

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or industry equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
- Established relationships with talent agencies, publicists, festival directors, and exhibition partners across EMEA
- Familiarity with EMEA media landscapes, cultural nuances, and best practices across multiple territories
- Fluency or professional proficiency in one or more EMEA languages beyond English is preferred
- Experience working across theatrical and streaming windows
- Understanding of box office metrics and the theatrical marketplace across EMEA
- Experience measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of PR programs is a plus
