About the Role
As a Trade Support Middle Office Analyst at Mizuho, you will provide essential Middle Office support to the Markets and Banking businesses, ensuring trade accuracy and completeness across front-to-back systems. You will work with a variety of products including Loans, Money Markets, Bonds, FX, Exchange traded derivatives, and Equities. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and resolving exceptions generated in Murex (OSP) and the T0 exception management platform, ensuring timely management and escalation of aged items. You will be responsible for completing system reconciliations, resolving breaks, and escalating unresolved items. The role also involves KRI and Risk Reporting to capture Key Risk Indicators and escalate emerging risks appropriately. You will collaborate closely with technology teams to establish system enhancements, drive prioritisation, and manage change through raising JIRAs and following through to delivery. Additionally, you will contribute to simplifying complex or inefficient processes and demonstrate measurable improvements. Ensuring regulatory compliance through established processes and controls is a key part of the role, along with clear and timely escalation of any issues to management to ensure risks are fully understood.

Experience
- Knowledge of one or more products including Fixed Income, Currencies, Exchange Traded Derivatives, and Equity
- Experience working within an Operations team handling timely completion of daily controls and reconciliations
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve inter-system trade integrity exceptions
- Experience delivering continuous improvement in a Middle Office function, enhancing control environment and efficiency
- Ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
- Strong risk identification skills to ensure a robust control environment and high operating standards

Preferred Technical Experience
- Understanding of Bloomberg, Murex, ANVIL, and Fidessa trade flows and exception management
- Good working knowledge of reconciliation platforms such as DUCO
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on exception interrogation and resolution
