We’re recruiting for a Trainee Commissioning Engineer to support building systems commissioning on large-scale construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to learn practical engineering skills on-site and build a long-term career in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services. What You’ll Be Doing: Assist with the start-up and functional testing of HVAC systems Learn how to measure air and water volumes Operate test instruments and document findings Help with equipment logistics and commissioning preparation Participate in training sessions and workshops Support with commissioning reports and system snagging Read schematics and locate components (e.g. VCDs, DRVs, PICVs) Take system readings and make basic adjustments under supervision Record visual inspections through notes and photos What We’re Looking For: Must have passed the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) test CSCS Card (or willingness to obtain one before starting) Basic maths and computer skills (Word, Excel, email) Keen to learn and willing to follow instructions Able to work well in a team Interest in engineering, building systems, or sustainable construction Personal Qualities: Highly motivated and eager to learn Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious Strong problem-solving attitude Good communication and organisational skills Comfortable working on site and under supervision What’s On Offer: Entry-level, full-time trainee opportunity Hands-on learning with senior engineers Long-term pathway into commissioning engineering Support with qualifications and practical training Experience on live, large-scale construction projects Job Summary: Job Title: Trainee Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Assistant Location: London (site-based) Hours: Full-time Employment Type: Full-time Traineeship / Entry-level
