About the Role
Brent is a vibrant London borough known for its diversity and unique cultural heritage, spanning both inner and outer London. The council is undergoing a significant transformation to better serve its community, making this an exciting time to join us. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities across Brent, focusing on engagement, consultation and support. As part of the wider Housing Directorate, you will ensure that council services, particularly those related to Brent's current Traveller site, are compliant, resident-centric and promote equality. The role involves collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including politicians, advocacy groups and local communities. There is also the opportunity to become Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Certified and develop skills across the housing sector within a flexible and supportive environment.
Experience
Experience working with diverse or marginalised communities is desirable. A background in community engagement or housing-related roles would be advantageous.
