About the Role
Are you an experienced treasury professional who enjoys combining hands-on treasury operations with systems improvement, financial analysis and process transformation? We are looking for a Treasury Accountant & Treasury Management System Lead to join our Finance team and play an important role in helping Notting Hill Genesis effectively manage its cash, debt and financial risks.
This varied role places you at the heart of our day-to-day treasury operations. You will monitor and forecast cash requirements, manage liquidity, support the management of our debt portfolio and ensure treasury transactions are accurately accounted for.
You will also take the lead on our Treasury Management System, helping us maximise the benefits of our technology, improve processes and reporting, and continue developing a more efficient and digitally enabled treasury function.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organisation, as well as banks, lenders and other external stakeholders, you will provide a responsive, accurate and high-quality treasury service that supports sound financial decision-making and enables us to continue delivering for our residents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering an outstanding operational treasury service to internal and external stakeholders
- Monitoring the Group's daily cash position and forecasting future cash requirements to ensure sufficient liquidity
- Managing the investment of surplus cash in line with NHG's Treasury Management Policy
- Supporting the effective management of the Group's debt portfolio including drawdowns and loan rollovers
- Ensuring interest payments and treasury obligations are completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining covenant compliance schedules and providing required information to lenders within deadlines
- Taking ownership of the Treasury Management System, ensuring data accuracy and effective use
- Leading improvements and enhancements to the Treasury Management System to increase efficiency and digital capability
- Maintaining bank mandates and supporting bank account administration including KYC requirements
- Overseeing electronic banking interfaces and ensuring appropriate controls
- Ensuring treasury transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with accounting standards
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, banks, lenders and stakeholders to provide clear treasury information and support
- Continuously seeking opportunities to improve treasury processes, controls, systems and reporting
Experience
- Proven knowledge and practical experience of treasury operations and their wider organisational impact
- Experience implementing, developing or enhancing a Treasury Management System, including treasury reporting improvements
- Experience of treasury accounting, including accounting for financial derivatives
- Strong experience in bank account management, electronic banking interfaces, bank mandates, account opening and KYC coordination
- Practical experience preparing multi-company daily cash-flow forecasts and reporting daily cash positions
- Experience investing surplus cash and managing loan facility drawdowns within a large or complex organisation
- Strong understanding of cash and liquidity management
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret financial information, identify issues and provide practical solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and an interest in using systems and technology to improve treasury processes and reporting

Qualifications
- Membership of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) or qualification as a CCAB accountant
- Pending legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
