About the Role
Amazon operates a world-class network of technologically advanced fulfillment and logistics properties globally. As the UK Asset Manager within the Global Ops Enterprise Services (GOES) Portfolio Management team, you will play a critical role in managing these assets to drive operational efficiencies, maintain high standards, and support evolving business needs. You will implement cutting-edge real estate management practices, leveraging both Amazon's internal standards and industry benchmarks to resolve real estate challenges impacting multiple business segments.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the real estate management of assigned portfolio sites to ensure optimal operations and performance, acting as the primary contact for real estate escalations, and driving timely negotiations for landlord consents and lease amendments. You will develop and implement regional real estate strategies, support lease renewals and terminations, identify cost-saving opportunities, and lead real estate efforts during significant operational events.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, developers, and local operational teams is fundamental to this role. You will provide strategic real estate advice to senior leadership, champion sustainability and ESG initiatives across the portfolio, and collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure alignment and problem-solving support.
This role requires a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate complex real estate landscapes while supporting Amazon’s dynamic operational needs and long-term growth objectives.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, management, real estate, or a related field
- Experience in commercial construction
- Experience in commercial property management for a real estate company
- Experience in real estate transactions
- Proficiency with commercial real estate software platforms and Microsoft Office suite

Qualifications
- Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries is preferred
- Extensive experience in property or asset management within commercial real estate, corporate occupier, developer, fund, or landlord entity
- Broad experience managing and interpreting commercial lease agreements
- Professional designations such as RPA, CPM, RICS, or comparable are advantageous
- Business fluency in another European language is a plus
