About the Role
Amazon Logistics aims to build a world-class last mile operation that exceeds customer expectations by delivering orders quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively. As a Senior Process Engineer within the European Amazon Logistics Engineering team, you will drive standardization and integrate the latest technologies in Delivery Stations across the EU. You will design new Delivery Stations and support process optimization and technology integration in legacy sites to improve safety, customer experience, quality, and cost.
In this role, you will act as a key point of contact for your area of responsibility, partnering frequently with local Operations teams and other operational support functions. The position requires strong customer focus, self-motivation, and exceptional project management skills. You will communicate regularly with customers and project sponsors at both European and country levels, working closely across functional business and technical teams.
Your responsibilities will include driving new site designs and legacy site upgrades from planning through execution, including automation integration; leading technology integration and standardization in EU-wide programs; contributing to network standardization by sharing best practices; providing process expertise on engineering design including material flow, conveyor positioning, equipment requirements, and real estate implications; and leading strategic initiatives to improve processes and station designs while engaging key stakeholders.
A typical day involves leading end-to-end design for new delivery stations, improving existing processes, collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as operations, design and construction, launch and expansion, and safety teams. You will produce best-in-class layouts for new launches, optimize existing stations, present designs to leadership for approval, and lead projects to integrate new technologies and develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
About the Team
The team partners closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to identify, design, and develop best-in-class process infrastructure and layouts, delivering them as EU AMZL network standards. Our inclusive team culture values respect, equity, and positive recognition of differences to foster innovation.
