About the Role
As a UX Researcher at Amazon, you will lead user research initiatives that inform product design decisions across various Amazon services and products. Your role involves designing and conducting research studies, analyzing user behavior, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for product teams. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define research questions and deliver impactful insights.

A typical day includes reviewing research findings from usability studies, preparing insights for stakeholder presentations, facilitating remote usability testing sessions, and mentoring junior researchers. You will contribute to research best practices and help shape customer-obsessed product decisions.

You will be part of the UX Research team focused on Alexa shopping experiences globally, spanning shopping AI Assistant and Alexa devices. The team conducts qualitative and quantitative research to understand how customers discover and purchase products through voice and conversational interfaces. Your work will directly influence product strategy and improve how millions of customers shop with Alexa worldwide, making voice commerce more intuitive and delightful.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience leading user research projects with demonstrated impact
- End-to-end experience in research including study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting
- Skilled in lab-based user testing, remote testing, iterative prototype testing, survey design, and employing multiple research methods within a study
- Portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables such as study plans, reports, and personas

About you
- Strong collaborator able to work effectively with product managers, designers, and engineers
- Passionate about user-centered design and customer experience
- Able to mentor junior researchers and contribute to research best practices
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environment

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field required
- Master's degree in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology preferred
- Knowledge of quantitative data analysis and statistics is a plus
- Experience conducting and applying research in a global context is desirable
