About the Role
The Venues Manager will be responsible for generating income across all venues within Lambeth’s estate, including Town Hall, Leisure Centres, Libraries, Cemeteries, and Brockwell Hall. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of Brockwell Hall and Stables, a heritage venue relaunched in May 2025 as a multipurpose activity, events, and weddings venue. The post holder will spend three days per week ensuring all operational systems and arrangements are in place for Brockwell Hall, while the remaining two days will focus on managing a team of venues officers who secure bookings across the wider estate.
The role requires close collaboration with Council Project Managers, Activities and Volunteer Coordinators, Service Managers in Bereavement Services, Registrars, Leisure and Events teams, Sales & Marketing, Communications, Parks, and Facilities Management to ensure the safe, effective, and commercially efficient running of all venues. The post is part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund until December 2026, with a view to encouraging community involvement, volunteering, and developing a sustainable commercial strategy.

Experience
- Proven experience working within a busy, target-driven team.
- At least 2 years of experience in the parking industry or relevant venue management experience.
- Evidence of responding to informal challenges and representations for Penalty Charge Notices.
- Knowledge of legislation and statutory processes related to parking and venue management.

Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in venue management, events, or a related field are desirable.
