About the Role
Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company dedicated to setting the standard for trusted, customer-driven experiences across global racing and sports betting. With over 40 years of heritage and more than 400 employees worldwide, our portfolio includes Racing Post, Pickswise, myracing, Free Super Tips, ICS-digital and ICS-translate. As Visual Editor, you will lead the graphics team, managing day-to-day editorial graphics operations and setting standards, workflows and priorities across the wider graphics function in partnership with audience, marketing, commercial and B2B teams.

You will oversee the delivery of high-quality visual assets for live editorial needs, planned campaigns, premium storytelling, data-led journalism, print, social, video, B2B and commercial projects. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will improve commissioning and prioritisation, strengthen quality control and ensure graphics contribute early to add creative and strategic value.

Key responsibilities include leading and developing the graphics team to deliver outstanding visual output across multiple platforms; assigning and assisting production of daily editorial graphics such as news graphics, premium images, thumbnails, infographics, motion graphics and marketing campaigns; building a positive and collaborative team culture; pioneering ambitious digital-first visual storytelling including data visualisation and motion/social formats; setting and maintaining shared design standards; collaborating with senior editors and cross-functional teams to integrate graphics early in the creative process; supporting marketing campaign activation and branding; managing award-winning photographers and freelance contributors; handling contacts, media rights and archive materials; and identifying opportunities to automate or streamline workflows using templates and AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong proofing, accuracy, data-checking and quality-control skills.
- Ability to balance speed and quality across reactive daily output and planned creative projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to challenge briefs, shape ideas and build effective relationships across editorial, marketing, commercial, product and B2B teams.
- Highly organised with excellent prioritisation skills managing competing demands across multiple teams and platforms.
- Collaborative leadership style fostering clear processes, trust and a positive team culture.
- Proficient with relevant design, publishing and content-production tools.
- Willingness to work weekends (approximately one in three) and onsite in London three days per week.
