About the Role
PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income with deep expertise across public and private markets. We invest our clients’ capital across a range of fixed income and credit opportunities, leveraging decades of experience navigating complex debt markets. Our flexible capital base and strong issuer relationships have made us one of the world’s largest providers of traditional and nontraditional financing solutions and trusted advisors to investors seeking strong risk-adjusted returns. Since 1971, our people have shaped a high-performance, inclusive culture that celebrates diverse thinking and embodies our CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Responsibility, and Excellence.
The VP, Corporate Communications Manager (EMEA) is the senior operational lead for media relations delivery across the EMEA region. This role translates PIMCO’s external communications strategy—grounded in thought leadership, intellectual capital, and macroeconomic/investment insight—into effective, localized media execution. Working closely with the SVP and supported by PR agencies, the VP manages high-volume, high-profile media relations activity, ensuring consistent delivery of PIMCO’s reputation management and thought leadership objectives across multiple markets.
Key responsibilities include executing the EMEA media relations strategy, managing proactive and reactive media engagement, handling inbound media enquiries, drafting communications materials, and leading face-to-face media events such as PIMCO’s annual Media Summit and journalist roundtables. The role also involves first-line issues handling and crisis support, agency collaboration to improve process efficiency, and providing media intelligence and reporting to inform broader communications planning.
This position requires strong judgment, excellent news sense, and the ability to manage complex narratives and high-profile engagements in a fast-paced environment while maintaining close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Qualifications
- Experience in asset management, banking, insurance, or a closely related financial services sector is desirable.
- Working proficiency in one or more European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian, Spanish) is a plus.
