About the Role
BlackRock is the world's largest asset manager with over $13 trillion in assets under management. The Private Markets and Alternatives platform manages over $500 billion across private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private credit, hedge funds, and liquid alternatives. The Private Markets Structuring & Development team, part of Global Product Solutions (GPS), is responsible for designing, structuring, and developing innovative private markets investment fund structures and client mandates globally. This role involves working across institutional flagship funds, evergreen products, client mandates, separate accounts, funds of one, and bespoke client solutions.

The VP will advise business units including client relationship, sales, and investment teams on product design and structuring, prioritise commercial opportunities, manage multiple complex structuring projects, and take ownership of product and solution development. The role requires close collaboration with legal, tax, operational, compliance, and risk teams, as well as engagement with external legal advisors, industry groups, policymakers, and regulators. A key responsibility is partnering with sales teams and clients on RFPs and custom solution development.

Experience
- Strong private markets expertise, ideally with a legal background as a qualified lawyer or equivalent experience in product strategy, operations, tax, or investments.
- Experience with various fund types including partnerships, corporates, contractual schemes, regulated and non-regulated vehicles.
- Familiarity with core jurisdictions such as Luxembourg, Ireland, Delaware, and Cayman.
- Broad knowledge of the European regulatory landscape including AIFMD and SFDR.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects and communicate complex topics effectively.
