About the Role
Are you looking for a new challenge with a passion for customer service? Join the Medirest Family as a Ward Hostess/Host and become part of our dedicated Patient Dining team delivering outstanding catering services in a healthcare setting. You will provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients, supporting their nutrition and hydration needs and making a real difference every day. Your typical shift pattern includes full-time day shifts across the week, including weekends.

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing menus, taking patient orders, and supporting dietary and allergen queries
- Preparing and delivering refreshments and meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
- Clearing ward areas and washing dishes to ensure the kitchen is ready for the next service
- Liaising with ward staff to meet patients' needs promptly
- Delivering excellent customer service by always putting the patient first

Experience
No previous experience as a Ward Host/Hostess is required. What matters most is pride in your work and a willingness to learn and go the extra mile for patients.

About you
- Awareness of food and hygiene standards
- Passionate about patient care with effective communication skills for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff
- Able to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
- Confident working in a hospital environment and comfortable interacting with patients who may be unwell or distressed
