About the Role
Sonia Friedman Productions is seeking an experienced Wardrobe Assistant to join the reimagined One Part London production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this critically acclaimed play premiered in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. It is the most awarded West End play in Olivier Awards history, winning nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017. The Wardrobe Assistant will support the wardrobe department by performing dressing cues, maintaining costumes, and ensuring smooth costume operations throughout the production. This is a full-time role on a year contract initially, with the contract then rolling. The start date is Monday, 21st September 2026. Applicants must be able to commit to the full contract. Experience
Proven experience in a similar position on a large-scale production is essential.

About you
- Excellent hand and machine sewing skills
- Ability to learn and perform dressing cues, from simple to extensive plots
- Excellent laundry skills including ironing
- Experience working as part of a team with great communication and a friendly manner
- Ability and desire to learn new methods and improve working practices
- Ability to work independently or under direction, following established methods
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
