About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to work on our Waterjet Machine. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of waterjet machining including setup and operation of various machines and controls. You will utilise tooling, fixtures, and gauges to produce aerospace quality components within expected efficiencies and timescales. You will operate the waterjet machine to cut metal parts accurately and safely, report any maintenance issues, and record all required information correctly in the computer system. You will also be expected to identify opportunities to improve processes to increase productivity and reduce waste. Handling all materials carefully to prevent damage or safety risks, following Health & Safety rules and company handling procedures, is essential. You will ensure stock is used efficiently to reduce waste and meet company quality standards, clearly label and identify all stock and customer parts according to company and customer requirements, and follow all Health & Safety regulations at all times to ensure the safety of yourself, colleagues, and visitors.
Please note that there are no accessible bus routes to the site, so you will need to be able to drive to get to work.

Experience
Experience using waterjet or laser machines, or other machinery in the metal industry is essential.
About you
You are self-motivated, reliable, and hardworking with good basic maths skills. You have a good understanding of how to handle materials safely and follow Health & Safety rules. You are comfortable using a computer and able to use measuring tools such as vernier calipers and other precision equipment.
