About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and passionate Web Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll build and maintain high-quality web applications that deliver engaging experiences to millions of users worldwide. You will work closely with product designers, product managers, and other engineers to create intuitive, scalable, and performant web solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of our development practices. You will report to the Website Development Manager based in the UK.
The online and projects team connects engineering and customer experience. Currently, the team is distributed with members in the UK and Oslo, collaborating daily with colleagues in the UK, Norway, Spain, and Poland. The work involves a mix of roadmap items, ad hoc support, self-initiated improvements, and general maintenance to keep websites and in-product marketing running smoothly for both users and content creators. The team values discipline and self-motivation, managing responsibilities with autonomy.
How you’ll make an impact
- Plan, develop and maintain features and functionality across our websites
- Build and maintain reusable components
- Integrate with our platform and third-party APIs
- Develop and improve internal tooling
- Support the content team with day-to-day tasks
- Collaborate with PMMs, the website manager and commercial teams to implement and support A/B testing
- Work with the payments and commercial team on relevant integrations and features
- Participate in code review, contribute to shared coding standards and best practices
Experience
- Proven experience building modern websites with strong frontend fundamentals including markup, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, and component-based development
- Familiarity with headless CMS architectures, ideally with experience in PHP and WordPress
- Hands-on experience with third-party API integration
- Security conscious with awareness of best practices across the stack
- Knowledge of accessibility and WCAG requirements
