About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to advance your career in a dynamic and collaborative credit risk team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of financial institution clients, helping to shape risk decisions across a broad range of products and transactions. This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, complex credit structures, and opportunities to develop your expertise while making a meaningful impact. As an Associate in the EMEA Financial Institutions team covering primarily Banks, Insurances, and Sovereign clients for the Central and Northern Europe region within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB), you will manage a diversified portfolio of Investment and Non-Investment Grade counterparties. Your responsibilities will include conducting credit analysis, managing portfolio exposures, and reviewing and approving transactions across a wide range of credit products.

Key responsibilities include preparing concise credit analysis with clear recommendations on risk appetite, grading, and structuring; supporting and leading due diligence; conducting portfolio-level and client-specific stress testing; negotiating Markets and loan documentation; managing and monitoring credit risk portfolios across sectors and products; covering a broad product set including derivatives, securities financing, cleared products, loans, trade finance, and treasury products; coordinating with senior leaders and product specialists to align risk decisions; applying firm risk management policies; engaging with control stakeholders including Regulators and Auditors; and developing junior talent through coaching and formal learning sessions.

Experience
Prior experience in a comparable credit or risk environment is required. Demonstrated analytical rigor and credit judgment with the ability to identify, quantify, and communicate key risks. Proficiency in financial and scenario analysis relevant to a wide-ranging client and product suite. Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to support analysis and enhance efficiency. Knowledge of transaction structures and documentation sufficient to support negotiation and execution. Strong project management skills with end-to-end ownership of workstreams and effective prioritization in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications
