About the Role
NALA is building Payments for the Next Billion with faster, smarter, and fairer transfers for everyone. Since 2022, we have grown rapidly, expanding our team from 9 to 150+, raising over $50M from top-tier investors, and earning recognition in the Forbes Fintech 50 in 2025 and 2026. Our core products include NALA, a consumer app enabling cheaper, faster, and more reliable cross-border payments from the UK, US, and EU to Africa and Asia, and Rafiki, our B2B payments infrastructure powering global payments for major companies like MoneyGram and Western Union. Our team consists of experienced operators from Wise, Stripe, Monzo, Revolut, and CashApp, committed to urgency, deep thinking, and customer-first values.
As Workplace & Culture Manager, your mission is to make NALA's London office the best place our team has ever worked. You will own the atmosphere and daily operations of the office, ensuring it runs flawlessly and feels unmistakably NALA. This includes managing office supplies, vendors, facilities, health & safety, and front-of-house operations. You will also lead culture initiatives such as socials, celebrations, team lunches, offsites, and other moments that bring people together. Additionally, you will deliver an exceptional onboarding experience for new joiners, ensuring their first day and week are seamless. Supporting the People team with systems administration (HiBob), benefits, perks, and being the first point of contact for everyday queries will also be part of your role. You will provide auxiliary support to the executive leadership team alongside their dedicated EAs.
Success in this role means the London office runs so smoothly that nobody has to think about it, onboarding logistics are fully owned and seamless, and you are recognized as the trusted go-to person for the team. Over time, you will establish a full culture calendar with larger team events and maintain tidy and reliable administration of HR systems, benefits, and perks, supported by strong, measurable team feedback on the in-office experience.
