About the Role
Are you passionate about building applications with NoSQL databases? Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced NoSQL Solutions Architect to work directly with AWS customers to design cloud-based NoSQL solutions using Amazon DynamoDB, a scalable and highly available serverless NoSQL database designed for mission-critical applications. You will collaborate with some of the most prominent startups and largest enterprises to architect scalable NoSQL solutions using DynamoDB.

You will dive deep into customer challenges, working closely with internal AWS service teams to create solutions that meet customer needs. Partnering with AWS sales, business development, solutions architecture, and product teams, you will develop expertise to grow DynamoDB-related revenue.

Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help customers learn about and use DynamoDB.
- Provide definitive guidance for customers in choosing the right database services and approaches.
- Act as a trusted collaborator for the DynamoDB service team, representing the voice of the customer to define and prioritize service features.
- Lead enablement by training Solutions Architects, Professional Services Consultants, and Technical Account Managers.
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge with customers and the worldwide AWS solutions architect community.
- Contribute to the AWS Database Blog, service documentation, and reference architectures.
- Present at industry events to educate customers and evangelize AWS and DynamoDB.

A day in the life:
As a DynamoDB Specialist Solutions Architect, you will work alongside a team of NoSQL specialists covering DocumentDB, Neptune, Keyspaces, ElastiCache, and MemoryDB. Together, you will help customers design purpose-built database architectures, powering next-generation agentic AI applications.

Your work will focus on customer engagements where DynamoDB plays a critical role in modern architectures. You might design session and memory stores for autonomous AI agent frameworks, ensuring conversation state, tool-use history, and retrieval context persist at scale with low latency. You will collaborate with colleagues on knowledge graph layers while owning the fast-access transactional tier.

Engagements vary widely, from multi-tenant SaaS platforms with complex access patterns to event-driven pipelines where DynamoDB Streams feed downstream AI orchestration. You will design partition strategies, define global secondary index patterns, and articulate why DynamoDB fits specific architectural needs.

You will also translate deep technical expertise into broader impact by building reference architectures, presenting to engineering leadership, and contributing to internal enablement. Sharing patterns across database boundaries, you will help customers choose the right database for each workload and build architectures ready for future innovations such as agentic AI, real-time personalization, or massive-scale IoT.
