About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Specialist Intensive Support Programme (SISP), a multidisciplinary team comprising parenting practitioners, advanced social workers, clinical psychologists, and systemic family therapists. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within SISP, you will develop specialist knowledge and expertise in systemic practice and clinical social work. The role involves leading specialist parenting assessments for court and pre-proceedings, offering case consultation, supervision, and delivering creative, time-limited child-focused interventions aimed at preventing children from becoming looked after (LAC). You will work collaboratively with team members in a highly motivated and supportive environment where supervision and training are prioritised.
About the Team
SISP is a well-established multidisciplinary team within Children’s Specialist Services, providing specialist interventions such as independent parenting assessments for court or Public Law Outline (PLO), psychological assessments, parenting support, and therapeutic services led by a systemic family therapist. The team utilises evidence-based practices including PAMs Together and Apart Assessment, Parent Assess Model, child and adult psychology, systemic family psychotherapy, and social work. Staff benefit from regular reflective individual, group, and clinical supervision, manageable caseloads, and a collaborative working culture that supports high job satisfaction and staff retention.
