About the Role
Playdays Nurseries is offering an exciting opportunity to start or continue your childcare career while working towards a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification with Parenta Training. You will gain hands-on experience supporting children aged 0-5, helping with their learning and development through play and structured activities.
You will contribute to a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment, support children's care routines, wellbeing and independence, build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues, and observe and record children's progress. You will also promote equality, inclusion and positive behaviour while following safeguarding, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
Experience
Relevant qualifications and industry experience can be considered, with the apprenticeship adjusted where appropriate to reflect existing knowledge and skills.
About You
You will have a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to completing your apprenticeship. You should be patient, creative, organised and non-judgemental, with good communication and teamwork skills. You will also need to demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications
Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship with Parenta Training Limited.
Safeguarding & Checks
This role involves regular contact with children and may include regulated activity. Successful applicants will be subject to safer recruitment checks, including two satisfactory professional references, an Enhanced DBS check, right to work checks, identity verification and qualification checks where applicable. Candidates must be able to travel reliably to and from the nursery each day.
Training
Training will be delivered through workplace learning, regular progress reviews and ongoing support from a dedicated Parenta tutor. Off-the-job training will support the development of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the apprenticeship.
Training will cover key areas including safeguarding and child protection, health and safety, infection control, children's health and wellbeing, respectful care routines, communication and additional needs, play and learning, early language, literacy and mathematics, observation and assessment, inclusive practice, working with families and professionals, and supporting children's transitions and development.
About the Employer
Playdays Nurseries aims to help each child develop independence and confidence while discovering their academic and creative strengths. The nursery provides a traditional, homely approach to care and education within a stimulating and fun environment.
Playdays provides care for children aged three months to five years, supported by Nursery Nurses, Nursery Assistants and Nursery Teachers. Older children are introduced to areas including practical life, sensorial activities, language, maths, cultural subjects and general knowledge, alongside activities such as French, swimming, computers, music and movement, art and craft, sand and water play and outdoor activities.
After the Apprenticeship
Successful apprentices may be offered a permanent position and have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
