About the Role
The Ministry of Defence Civil Service supports the British Army through a diverse range of professions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a small, fast-paced team supporting the Quartermaster across Regents Park Barracks and associated military accommodation in London. You will gain valuable skills and experience in a dynamic military environment.
20 Transport Squadron RLC provides transport support to military units across London and Windsor. The Quartermaster and team manage stores, accommodation, infrastructure, security, and administrative support across Regents Park Barracks and other military sites in London. This varied role offers experience in facilities management, accommodation administration, health and safety, security, stores accounting, and stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities include supporting health and safety and environmental compliance, acting as the primary contact for accommodation matters, managing infrastructure and maintenance issues, providing comprehensive administrative support, representing the Quartermaster at meetings, supporting stores management and accounting, assisting with security management, coordinating visitors and contractors, and delivering flexible support across the department to ensure smooth daily operations.
Experience
Previous experience in a Quartermaster role or department is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. Experience using MS Office applications including Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint is required.

You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing. Strong teamwork and leadership skills are essential to deliver outputs as part of the Quartermaster's team. You should be able to proactively manage workloads, adapt to changing priorities, analyse situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required for this role. However, a commitment to personal and professional development is expected, including working towards relevant professional qualifications or apprenticeships as part of the role.
