About the Role
Join BBC Studios' Corporate, Digital and Internal Communications team and help tell the stories behind one of the world's most successful media businesses. As Assistant Communications Officer, you'll support communications activity that engages employees and promotes BBC Studios' work to external audiences. From creating content and managing digital channels to supporting events and campaigns, you'll play a key role in helping colleagues connect with audiences across the UK and globally.

Your key responsibilities include supporting the delivery of corporate, digital and internal communications activities that raise awareness of BBC Studios' strategy, content and achievements; researching, developing and creating engaging communications content for newsletters, social media channels, intranet platforms, digital screens and other communications channels; managing communications planning, media monitoring and departmental inboxes to ensure smooth delivery of activity and stakeholder support; assisting with the management of BBC Studios' corporate website and social media channels; supporting the planning and delivery of internal and corporate events; responding to stakeholder enquiries; and contributing to reporting and evaluation activities to measure the effectiveness and impact of communications campaigns.

Requirements

Experience
Essential:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, spelling, grammar and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram, and how they can be used to engage audiences.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital tools, with the ability to translate information and data into clear, accessible communications materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships and adapt quickly to new systems, technologies and ways of working.

Desirable:
- Previous experience working within a communications, marketing, media or corporate affairs environment.
- Experience planning, coordinating or supporting events and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience writing and editing communications content for a range of channels and audiences.
- Knowledge of creative and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite for creating digital and social media assets.
- Interest in the media industry, popular culture and television content, with an understanding of the wider media landscape.

Qualifications
