Job Description
The Assistant Finance Manager will be key in analyzing our financial data to improve processes, systems, and financial control. This role will work closely with Head of Departments (HODs) and the Finance Manager to understand and control costs, maximizing financial efficiency. You will join two other members of our Finance team based on-site at our contract location.
What you'll be doing
Conducting in-depth financial analysis, assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with departments for accurate data, monitoring budgetary performance, creating ad-hoc reports, reviewing operating expenses, tracking product cost allocation, creating dynamic reports and dashboards, monitoring market trends, providing administrative assistance, and supporting ongoing projects.
Experience
Moderate Excel Skills (Lookups, Pivot tables, power query), strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, strong organization and time-keeping skills, team player with the confidence to work independently, and a self-starting attitude.
About you
A mathematics, finance, or economics degree is desirable. Previous experience in management accounts, leading management meetings, and familiarity with Power BI and EPOS systems is a plus.
Qualifications
Essential: GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths grade C or above. Desirable: Confident with Excel Macros.
