About the Role

GLD's vital purpose is to help the Government govern well within the rule of law, complemented by a vision to be an outstanding legal organisation committed to the highest standards of service and professionalism, and a brilliant place to work where all employees can thrive and fulfil their potential.
GLD is the largest provider of legal services across government, working on high-profile matters that touch almost every aspect of public life. It employs nearly 4,000 people, including nearly 3,000 legal professionals, with offices nationwide including Bristol, Leeds, inner and outer London, and Manchester.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of government, supporting the Treasury Solicitor and the Executive Team, which includes four Director Generals and two Directors.
The Private Office acts as a key link and channel of communication between Whitehall and the department.
