About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our amazing Retail team in Central London. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Head of Retail to oversee operations, supervise staff, ensure excellent customer service, and act as a brand ambassador for the department. This role includes deputising in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, assisting with rotas and holiday planning, motivating and leading a team of 22, and ensuring they are adequately trained. You will be visible during service times, manage customer flow, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure that customer expectations of quality and standards are met daily.

Experience
Previous experience working within an Assistant Manager role in a Restaurant (whether in contract catering or a restaurant/coffee shop environment).

About you
Ability to work within a big team, motivate and lead from the front, with a keen interest and passion for food and beverage. You should possess excellent written and spoken English, display a ‘can do’ attitude, and have strong organisational skills. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to handle customer feedback with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, Forms, OneDrive, and Outlook. An analytical approach to problem-solving is required. A recognised Health and Safety qualification is desirable, along with an understanding of ESG regulations and current food legislation.
