About the Role

We are a leading consultancy provider to the Infrastructure sector and are seeking an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager to join our prestigious infrastructure-based projects.
In this role, you will establish professional and collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues and other project stakeholders. You will administer various contracts aligned with project objectives and policies, providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting through to completion within budget.
You will proactively manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications. Collaborating closely with client and contractor teams, you will help manage project deliverables, KPIs and objectives, including programme performance, cost control and value engineering.
Effective contract change management is essential to keep projects within governance and best practice. You will drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy, provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders, and ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed. Leadership of people and commissions will also be part of your responsibilities.

Experience
- Proven Cost / Commercial Management experience
- Experience with NEC3 contracts, particularly Option C – Target Cost
- Post contract administration experience
- Experience working on major programmes and projects
- Experience in infrastructure projects such as rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, and highways
- Experience in leading and managing teams

Qualifications
Preferably MRICS or equivalent professional qualification
