About the Role
We are hiring two Audit Managers within the Models Audit team, part of Group Audit. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to work within a leading audit function and gain exposure to a wide range of risk modelling, capital assessment and actuarial techniques across our insurance and banking businesses. You will lead the delivery of high-quality risk-based audits by leveraging a deep understanding of business strategy, controls, and risks to provide insightful independent assurance on control effectiveness.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Contributing to the delivery of the audit plan and project managing individual audits
- Supporting control testing and identifying areas of concern, articulating potential impacts to senior management
- Building and maintaining meaningful stakeholder relationships
- Proactively suggesting and delivering improvements to audit processes
- Researching industry best practices and regulatory developments to analyze key themes and external trends
- Role modelling Group values and behaviours
- Coaching and supporting team members with clear communication and feedback
- Delivering timely, impactful, and insightful risk and control assurance activities valued by stakeholders
Experience
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics or other highly numerate subject
- Strong knowledge of model risk management and the model life cycle, including associated risks
- Experience auditing models with sound knowledge of audit methodology
- Modelling experience (development or validation) in areas such as Trade Pricing Models, Traded Market Risk Models (VAR, IRC, FRTB), Counterparty Credit Risk Models, XVA Models, Margin Models, Economic Capital Models, Valuation and Reserve Models
- Understanding of banking model regulations (Basel 3.1, PRA Rulebook, CRD IV, CRR, FRTB, SS1/23)
- Ability to lead audit delivery while supporting colleagues' growth and development
- Strong skills in delivering timely and insightful risk and control assurance
- Ability to interpret Group and Business Unit Strategy and connect audit delivery to strategic objectives
- Data analysis skills to drive effective audit outcomes
- Effective prioritization of work for self and others
- Experience with coding languages such as Python and auditing or reviewing AI/ML models for fairness, explainability, bias, and performance
Additional Experience for Credit Risk Role
- Modelling experience in credit risk (IRB, IFRS 9), market risk or counterparty credit risk models
- Knowledge of capital management frameworks and banking capital regulations (CRD IV, CRR, Basel)

Qualifications
