Salary
£14.80 per hour plus 12.07% annual leave accrual

About the Role
Join our Bank workforce as a Support Worker to support our teams and participants across Ealing! You will join our flexible working team to provide community-based support for individuals with mental health, wellbeing and substance use needs. You will work alongside various services to support individuals to meet their unique goals and provide opportunities available to them to live independently within the community and develop social skills.

Please note that this is a flexible role and consistent rotas cannot be guaranteed due to resident/participant needs and service requirements. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desired as you will be travelling across residential private homes, as well as SIG accommodation services.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support participants with escorting to medical appointments
- Light domestic care and support including laundry, cleaning, and other essential activities to support daily living
- Support participants with gaining access to essential financial support including benefits claims
- Support participants to achieve desired outcomes/goals through support plans, risk assessments, and regular reviews
- Develop and encourage participation in activities and events within the community
- Work alongside community partners and other SIG services
- Recognise signs of deteriorating mental or physical health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks
- Complete safeguarding and other referrals when required
- Support participants in medication supervision, hospital appointments, bills/correspondence checking and compliance, and prompting personal care

Requirements

Experience
Experience of working with people from complex backgrounds including mental health, substance misuse, or criminal justice is desirable. Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs is beneficial.

You will have a genuine passion and felt purpose to help people, challenge stigma, and make a real difference to lives. Flexibility in working patterns and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential. You should be able to build rapport with people from varying backgrounds, treating everyone with respect regardless of past or present experiences.

IT proficiency with basic Microsoft experience and the ability to learn new software programs is required. Ability to travel across Brighton and Hove, including areas without public transport, is necessary.

Qualifications
