About the Role
As a Bar Team Member at Get Golfing CIO's Arkley 9 Golf Club, you will provide excellent customer service in the clubhouse, bar, and dining areas. Your responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and drinks, handling payments, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests. You will work closely with the kitchen and events team to maintain high service standards while keeping the area clean and well-stocked. Ideal candidates are friendly, efficient, and passionate about delivering a great hospitality experience in a golf club setting. Key duties include delivering exceptional customer service, managing food and beverage orders accurately, serving meals and drinks with high presentation standards, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly, processing payments securely using POS systems, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all service areas, assisting with event setup and breakdown, monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages, adhering to food safety and health regulations, and collaborating effectively with kitchen, bar, and event teams to ensure seamless service.

Experience
Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or a similar customer-facing role is essential. Experience in a golf club, hotel, or similar hospitality environment is desirable.

About you
You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional attitude. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards is important. A team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to tasks is required. You must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including responsible handling of alcoholic drinks, is necessary. A basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations is expected, with training provided if needed. You must be aged 18 or over.

Qualifications
Ability to handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system is required. Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification and a Personal License or bar service experience are desirable but not essential. Knowledge of golf and its culture is preferred but not required.
