About the Role
As a Bereavement Services Coordinator at North London Hospice, you will coordinate referrals, appointments, and administrative processes within the Bereavement Service. You will provide practical support, information, and signposting to bereaved relatives, carers, and families. Maintaining accurate service user records and activity data will be a key part of your role. You will support the planning and delivery of bereavement groups and one-to-one services, liaising with and supporting bereavement volunteers including recruitment, induction, and ongoing communication. You will recognise and escalate safeguarding concerns, risks, and complex support needs appropriately. Working collaboratively with Hospice colleagues and external agencies, you will contribute to service development, training activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of bereavement support.

Experience
Experience in coordinating services or administrative processes within a healthcare, social care, or community support setting is desirable. Experience working with bereaved individuals or in a counselling/support environment is advantageous.

You are compassionate, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support bereaved families and work collaboratively with volunteers and colleagues. You are able to recognise safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately. You are motivated to contribute to service development and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in health, social care, counselling, or a related field are desirable but not essential. A willingness to undertake training and development related to bereavement support and safeguarding is required.
