MCJES Grade E, £38,007 - £42,230 per annum, pro rata.
About the Role
As a Business Manager for London & Home Counties, you will own commissioner relationships for your designated services, leading contract management activities including renewals, variations, and commercial negotiations. You will support the full business development lifecycle from market intelligence and opportunity assessment through to proposal development, tender submissions, mobilisation support, and contracts management. You will contribute to place-based integrated governance arrangements, ensuring joint working between commercial, operational, and support teams. Your role includes developing and maintaining clear reporting cycles, analysing financial, commercial, and performance information, and presenting complex data in an accessible way. Working closely with the Senior Business Manager, finance colleagues, and other Business Managers, you will support pricing, cost recovery, risk mitigation, and contract performance. Coordination with clinical and operations teams will ensure services run to budget and contract agreements reflect actual service delivery. You will build productive relationships with internal teams, commissioners, partners, and stakeholders to identify opportunities, support service development, and promote Marie Curie's work.

Experience
- Experience working in a commercial or business team, ideally within a health or social care environment.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate insights clearly.
- Demonstrable ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Power BI and commercial systems such as CRM, Docusign, or digital contracting tools.
- Problem solving and decision making skills, including completing risk assessments and identifying commercial risks.

Qualifications
- A degree qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
