Ealing Council has an exciting opportunity for a Capital Project Manager to join on a full-time basis. As a Capital Project Manager, you will assist in delivering effective project and contract management to ensure capital investment, building safety remediation, and retrofit sustainability projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will ensure 100% compliance with statutory obligations and regulatory undertakings.
Your responsibilities will include delivering excellent customer service to both external and internal customers, managing on-site work, reviewing progress, and liaising with customers and contractors. You will ensure all work complies with legislation, regulations, and council policies, provide detailed reports on project delivery, value, and customer satisfaction, engage with stakeholders to meet project objectives, and set, monitor, and review performance standards and key performance indicators.
Experience
- Extensive experience managing projects within an Asset Management environment.
- In-depth understanding of Building Regulations, planning requirements, property compliance, health and safety, and housing law, including the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Familiarity with the Decent Homes Standard and Lettable Standards.
- Experience working collaboratively within a matrix structure to ensure effective team performance and successful project delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen focused on continuous improvement and value for money.
- Proven ability to set, monitor, and review performance standards and key performance indicators.
- Knowledge and experience of CDM Planning, Principal Designer, and client duties.
- Understanding of contracts, tender agreements, procurement processes, and working with utilities providers, including interpreting their drawings and service details.
- Proficient in using computerised Asset Management Systems.
