About the Role
Adopt London West Regional Adoption Agency is a partnership between the London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, and Hounslow, hosted by Ealing. The service recruits adopters and finds families for children across our partner agencies, while also offering support services to adoptive and special guardianship families.

Every child has the right to a safe and supportive family life. Adopt London West aspires to promote best practice across its adoption service and adoption and special guardianship support services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional Senior Social Worker to join Adopt London West on a full-time permanent contract within the Recruitment and Family Finding Team.

You will work closely and supportively with prospective adopters, undertaking prospective adopter assessments to a high standard and ensuring timely approval in line with required timescales. You will support approved adopters in exploring links with children with complex needs, assist with matching and transition of children to their care, and provide ongoing support from placement until the making of an Adoption Order.

Collaboration with other professionals, childcare social workers across the Adopt London West region, and partner agencies is essential to this role.

Experience
Proven experience as a Social Worker with a background in adoption and an understanding of the complex dynamics involved in adoption and special guardianship arrangements.

Commitment to innovative, therapeutically informed practice and driving early permanence for children.

Qualifications
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and adherence to Ealing Council’s enhanced vetting process will be required.
