About the Role
Ealing Council is offering four exciting apprenticeship opportunities for enthusiastic and highly motivated residents of Ealing. These roles provide a unique chance to work within the public sector, making a real difference by meeting the needs of a diverse community. Apprenticeships offer the opportunity to gain new skills, knowledge, and behaviours while earning a salary and receiving full support to achieve your qualification. Successful apprentices may have the potential to progress to higher levels or new roles within the council.
To start an apprenticeship with Ealing Council, candidates must pass four competitive stages followed by background and reference checks. The first stage involves submitting a CV along with a supporting statement answering key questions about your interest in the apprenticeship, your motivation to work for a local authority, and examples of how you have overcome challenges or managed multiple tasks.

- Corporate Data Analyst Apprentice: Level 4 Data Analyst
- Corporate Business Administrator Apprentice: Level 3 Business Administration
- Libraries Customer Service Apprentice: Level 2 Customer Service
- Corporate Maximising Quality, Reducing Inequalities Apprentice: Level 4 Quality Practitioner
Key dates:
- Closing date for CV and supporting statement submission: Tuesday 18 November 2025, 12 noon
- Mandatory group screening workshop (in person): Monday 24 November 2025, 9am to 2pm at Perceval House, Ealing Council (no alternative dates)
- Interviews: Week commencing 8 December 2025
- Apprenticeship start date: Late January to early February 2026 (subject to successful pre-employment checks)
Experience
No prior experience is required. Enthusiasm and motivation to learn and contribute are essential.
About you
You should be enthusiastic, motivated, and interested in working for the public sector to make a positive impact in the community. You must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. A commitment to personal development and learning new skills is important.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Be a resident of the London Borough of Ealing (proof required)
- Have attended a school in the London Borough of Ealing or obtained GCSEs or equivalent from an Ealing school within the past 3 years (proof required)
- Have attended a college in the London Borough of Ealing (proof required)
- Be a care leaver under the corporate parentage of the London Borough of Ealing
Additional requirements:
- Must be aged 16 or over unless otherwise stated in the role profile
- Year 11 students cannot start until after their last official school day
- Must hold a British or European passport or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK
- Cannot undertake an apprenticeship in the same skills area if already holding an equivalent qualification
- Cannot apply if previously completed an apprenticeship with Ealing Council
- Must disclose any spent or unspent convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; some roles may have restrictions based on this disclosure
Applicants with level 3, 4, or higher qualifications (e.g., degree) will undergo a suitability check to ensure the apprenticeship will provide new knowledge, skills, and behaviours beyond their existing qualifications.
