The Housing & Environment directorate manages and improves over 17,000 council homes, ensuring every resident has a safe, warm, and welcoming place to live. The directorate is committed to resident-led service design, continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of compliance and safety.
In this role, you will quickly develop a detailed and accurate understanding of the condition of all council-owned stock and use this insight to develop an effective and comprehensive asset management plan that delivers safe, warm, and dry homes for all residents.
Overseeing a team of 175 staff and managing an annual capital budget of approximately £45 million, you will bring a proven track record of rapidly accelerating improvement, a nuanced understanding of managing major contracts, and a high level of analytical and organisational skill.

Experience
Proven experience in housing asset management or a related field, with a strong track record of delivering improvements and managing large teams and budgets. Demonstrable experience in managing major contracts and driving organisational change is essential.
