About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Careers Adviser to join our Student Support Services team. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality, responsive, learner-centered service by providing impartial careers information, advice, and guidance to support all learners across College campuses. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively advise and guide UCG students, helping them to achieve their career goals.
Experience
Prior relevant experience in careers guidance is essential, including evidence of promoting equality of opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds.

Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults. Ability to work responsively within a learner-centered environment.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a relevant degree or equivalent professional careers-related qualification. A Level 6 careers qualification is required, or a Level 4 Careers Qualification with willingness to undertake training to gain a Level 6 Qualification. Applicants with Level 4 qualification will be offered a fixed term 12-month contract to complete the Level 6 qualification.
QCF Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development - Career Development Institute (thecdi.net) is the preferred qualification.
