About the Role
Join the Estate Services Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Caretaker. You will play a key role in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and estates, carrying out communal cleaning and grounds maintenance tasks. The role involves performing small maintenance repairs as required and liaising directly with residents and contractors, addressing queries with professionalism and care. You will work with due regard to health & safety and security standards, contributing to a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents.

Additional Information
The successful candidate will need to apply for or hold a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate to work within the team. Early applications are encouraged as the advertisement may close and interviews may be held earlier than stated. Interviews are scheduled for 15th September.

Experience
Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs. Trade skills, gardening or DIY experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

- A good communicator, willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to changing neighbourhood needs.
- Able to work on your own initiative and self-motivated to organise your time effectively.
- Proactive in daily activities and aware of safe working practices.
- Possess a good standard of literacy.
- IT skills are required as you will use a PC for online courses and assessments; this can be learned on the job during the probationary period.

Qualifications
A recognised City & Guilds or Bics qualification in cleaning would be an advantage but is not essential.
