Salary
£55,270 to £61,018 per annum depending on experience plus essential car user allowance
About the Role
Join the Commercial Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Project Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects within the Property Services Commercial team, working across either the Voids or Responsive Repairs / Minor Works workstreams. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will manage up to three direct reports and take full ownership of your projects and workstreams to ensure all costs and contracts are in place.
Your role includes supporting operational colleagues, managing subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value, protecting the business contractually, and providing accurate financial forecasting. You will ensure all contractual processes are observed and be accountable for savings on projects.

Experience
- Extensive Quantity Surveying experience
- Experience managing principal and subcontractor arrangements
- Confident in managing poor performance
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with data interrogation ability
- Competent in use of standard methods of measurement and NHF Schedule of Rates

- Commercially aware with good legal and contractual knowledge
- Able to provide mitigation strategies for contract and subcontract matters
- Skilled in managing budgetary constraints using forensic cost control techniques
- Confident supporting operational colleagues and managing subcontractors to achieve best value
Qualifications
- Degree or HNC level qualification in a related discipline or equivalent substantial experience
- Professional membership of CIOB or RICS is desirable but not essential
