About the Role
Join the No Access Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as a Compliance Engagement Officer. This permanent role is focused on providing an efficient, effective, and responsive housing enforcement service. You will be responsible for ensuring access is obtained to all properties through the most appropriate methods in line with best practice and housing and health and safety legislation. The role involves managing cases through dialogue, persuasion, negotiation, problem solving, and encouragement, including executing access warrants or injunctions when necessary.

You will visit properties where access has not been obtained by contractors to complete compliance checks and arrange outstanding inspections. Approximately 50% of your working week will involve attending individual properties and potentially court. You will manage no access properties from referral by contractors through to gaining access, liaising with contractors and internal stakeholders, and arranging combined visits when required.

Additionally, you will assist in producing publicity and information materials for customers, contribute to clear communication development, carry out personal observations, obtain photographic, audio, or video evidence, incorporate these into reports and witness statements, and attend court as needed.

L&Q supports agile working with 20% to 40% of contractual hours worked from the reporting office or other working locations.
